We are pleased to invite you and your family to take part in the 93rd Lions Clubs International Convention being held in Sydney, Australia from June 28 - July 2, 2010.

The Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre (SCEC) is the location of Onsite Registration, LCI/LCIF Headquarters Areas, Parade Office, Pin Traders, Local Tours & Attractions and Club Supplies. Credential Certification will take place in the Parkside Ballroom.

The Sydney Sydney Entertainment Centre is one of Sydney's best indoor arenas, and it is located adjacent to the convention centre. This is the venue of the Plenary Sessions and International Show.

Make plans now to join your fellow Lions club members from every corner in the Globe in a city, which is the heartbeat of Australia for an inspiring week of convention activities.

WING-KUN TAM
SECOND VICE PRESIDENT

Wing-Kun Tam, of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), China, was elected as second vice president of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 92nd International Convention, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA July 6-10, 2009.

Vice President Tam is the chairperson of an air transportation group of companies.

A member of the Mt. Cameron Lions Club, District 303 – Hong Kong and Macau since 1981, Vice President Tam has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, region chair, district governor, 1992 International Convention bidding and host chair, Campaign SightFirst multinational coordinator and OSEAL recording secretary, District Governor-elect Seminar group leader, SightFirst China Action executive chair and honorary host committee chair. In addition, he served on the international board for nine years with seven years as board appointee and two years as international director, including one year on the Executive Board Committee.

In recognition of his service to the association Vice President Tam has received numerous awards, including the 100% District Governor Award, 20 International President’s Awards, Campaign SightFirst National/Multi-National Coordinator Award, the International Lion of the Year Award (2003) and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor the association gives to its members. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and Campaign SightFirst Lead Gift Donor.

In addition to his Lion activities, Vice President Tam is active in numerous professional and community organizations and is a member and/or chair on numerous boards and committees of the HKSAR Government. He has been the Hong Kong Convention Ambassador since 1995. Prior to the establishment of the Hong Kong SAR, he served as a Hong Kong District Affairs Advisor. Vice President Tam is the recipient of Her Majesty The Queen’s Badge of Honor, the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, and of the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the HKSAR Government. He is a non-official Justice of the Peace in the Hong Kong SAR.

Vice President Tam was appointed as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kenya in the Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR of the People's Republic of China cum Commissioner for the Kenya Tourist Board – Far East.

Vice President Tam has three children – Alvin, Tiffany and Andrew.
